Permaculture Design courses are internationally recognised as the gateway into sustainable living, by the end of this training you will be able to design your very own permaculture system on whatever scale is meaningful to you, as well as have all the basics to get started right away!
On this 72 hour course, you will go visit sustainable homes and local permaculture projects, eat foods you've never eaten before, learn to maximise your garden yields, learn about ecological building and alternative technology, design water harvesting systems for the urban and rural environments and meet a great new bunch of people just like you. This course changed my life nearly 10 years ago, and it's my goal to offer the same quality and transformative experience to you.
Permaculture is derived from the terms "Permanent culture" and "Permanent agriculture", and is about designing sustainable human settlements. It was first created by Bill Mollison over 30 years ago and is still transforming people and communities worldwide with its vision for a greater, fairer and environmentally sustainable future for all.

"I want to do ANOTHER PDC for 12 more Sundays, please help!" George Bray, Mosman Park, 2015 (1 week after the course ended!)
"I've been meaning to write about how great doing a PDC with Sparkles Aine Murphy is... it literally is one of the best things I've done. Learning about Permaculture is a wonderful thing in itself, and it applies to everything, but learning with Sparkles really makes for a feel of community. She pulls people out of their shell and keeps everyone actively learning. I couldn't recommend it more highly. The value of what we learned massively out weighs the small cost involved. Having the course over 12 Sundays meant that each week was spent thinking about the new stuff. Thanks again Sparkles, you rock!" Stace Jobson, Marmion, 2015
"Absolutely everything was inspiring, if I was to say anything, it would be that I didn't want the course to end!"Samantha Garcia, Coolbellup, 2014
"The connections made on this course have changed my life! Completing a PDC is another step in the ladder towards living my dream. I am now travelling implementing permaculture aid in developing countries, including Africa & now Canada my home land." Noel, Canada, 2013
"I'm so glad your doing another Permaculture design course this year Sparkles! Everyone should do the PDC. It doesn't matter how much you have studied before, permaculture is so diverse and this course has some amazing teachers, I learnt so much and I already have an environmental science degree!" Rachael Green, Kwinana, 2014
"I did a weekend intro course with Sparkles in 2009, it change my life! I felt so inspired I continued learning and went on to do horticulture certificate training at tafe. I now grow my own food and medicine, have learnt to build straw bale and have developed skills in one of my biggest passions, cooking! She showed me how to be the change I wanted to see in the world." Di Lynne, Mosman Park, 2012
"Thanks again for the inspiration that let to the biggest change in my life, a complete shift in awareness and attitude. I was led to this Permaculture Design Course by coincidence, but an inevitable change occured in me once the real message clicked. Permaculture has become a part of my everyday life and I have also adopted Permaculture principles into my working life to encourage positive change. I am now running my own electrical business (Wandu Electrical Services) which focuses on encouraging Renewable Energy Generation and Energy Saving solutions. We need to become the positive change that we want to see in this world, each one of us in our own way.." Ryan McCoy, Rockingham, 2013
